I am a stay at home mom of 2 precious babies, and a part time Registered Dental Hygienist! In love with my best friend, Chris Hobgood!
My journey started back in July, when I was 7 months post-partum with my second baby. I had gained 30 pounds – on top the 20 that I had gained from being happily married and my first child! 50 pounds over weight – feeling depressed… – lacking confidence – no energy – and using food as my comfort, instead of Christ. <—-Not a good place to be!
My husband came home talking about this program he saw on the internet, called the 21 Day Fix. I listened to him, and brushed it off quickly – I didn’t have time to workout….. I’m breastfeeding I cant lose weight…. not right now, we have a newborn and a 3 year old….. I’m too exhausted! <—-All really lame excuses that I had!
Then we went to visit with some really good friends of ours, she too had a baby in December….but she was looking GREAT…..and when I asked about her secret, she showed me the 21 Day Fix! “Ugh, okay….fine….I’ll order it” I told my husband.
July 6, 2015 was our first day…..I quickly fell in love with this program and its simplicity. Working out became something that I actually enjoyed ((huge shocker for me)) and sticking to the meal plan was actually easy and I never felt hungry or deprived!! The weight went falling off, and my confidence started rising! I enjoyed working out with my husband and making healthy lifestyle changes for our family!
I made the decision fairly early on that I wasn’t going to keep this a secret, I wanted to share all that I have learned with others – and let them know that they aren’t alone! There are too many women out there that feel the way I did because of their weight ((depressed, lacking confidence, no energy)). I want to be able to help others get the tools that they need for success – and be their accountability partner!
So now I am a Beachbody coach. No I am not an expert nutritonalist or a fitness pro, but I know how I got to where I am and the tools that helped me achieve it! I’ve still got a ways to go – I’m down over 20 pounds, and have 20 more to go – but I know with these tools I am headed in the right direction!
